TRAPPED IN A VIDEO GAME, #2, Dustin Brady, Andrews McNeil Publishing

Jesse Rigsby is on a mission to save his friend Mark, but first he’s got to shake the Bigfoot chasing him through the school library. And then there’s the velociraptor in the bathroom. Oh yeah, don’t forget about the ginormous flame-throwing bat in the cafeteria. Jesse’s trapped in the invisible world of Go Wild – a Pokemon Go-style mobile game – and if he doesn’t solve the mystery of what happened to Mark soon, he’s never getting back out.

Trapped in a Video Game 2 is the funny, exciting sequel to Dustin Brady’s popular Trapped in a Video Game book. It’s perfect for boys age 9-12, as well as anyone who loves fun, fast-paced read.

MY THOUGHTS:

I received this book in exchange for my honest review.

I think this book is perfect for the reluctant reader and for kids who love video games. This is the second book of the new five book series featuring Jesse, and this time, his friend Mark, whom Jesse must save once again from a video game.  There’s adventure, chases, mystery and elements of surprise that will keep you interested and laughing along with the crazy antics within the pages of this book.

Once again, the dialogue in perfect and often hilarious. Although geared toward an age group of nine to twelve, I would even say it’s perfect for a younger readership with help from mom or dad.

Illustrations are included, writing is laid out perfectly.

I gave this book:

5-star
