BIT OF MY BACKGROUND:

I have over 40 years of business experience, legal experience, entrepreneurship background, I am a certified Freelance Writer/Editor, published author, teacher, speaker; and, I currently own and operate two businesses. I have been reading and reviewing books for various publishing houses for seven years. I love books, absolutely love the power of entertainment behind the written word. I write fiction for both adults and children. My adult fiction varies from thrillers (supernatural and paranormal), to fantasy/science fiction. My fantasy series has been… wait for it… a twenty year project… Yes, 20. There are twelve books within this series that I’m working on. I’ll get into this with those who follow me through a new channel we are developing. Stay tuned. My science fiction book, Within, first draft is finished. If you don’t know, this book is a fantasy/science fiction cross-over. It involves ancient artifacts, legends, secrets, the origins of the human race, aliens, monsters, discoveries, other-worldly colonization, survival of the human race… I’m editing it and will probably be working on edits for a bit. Finding Beta readers will be the next step after general edits. Stay tuned.

I’ve been writing since the age of 12; I’m now 50 (cough, cough, cough) something years old. I have so many first drafts sitting on my shelves that need to be explored more. I’ve plotted many others and can’t wait to expand these into first drafts too.

I am a ghost writer for a project and a co-writer for another. Since these books are not just mine, I can’t say too much about them without my clients agreeing to this. I can say one is a military science fiction involving Hitler and WWII science experimentation, clones, WWIII, and such. I have no idea where this will go since it’s basically just beginning to grow. The second book is in plotting. It is a crazy science fiction, also involving experimentation and Nazis and powers, and, so on… 🙂

My children fiction right now consists of two series: The Adventures of Iggy Squiggles; and, a new series I’m working on: The Tails’ Time Chronicles.

The first is about the funny antics and life of Iggy Squiggles. Her character is based on the lives of four strong women that I know and their childhoods. There’s plenty of humor involved and crazy situations Iggy often finds herself in. She is such a sweet kid and I love the artwork choices I’ve made to showcase her and her friends in a whimsical, realistic yet cute manner that’s guaranteed to steal hearts. At times, many fantasy elements are found throughout the book series. These are highlighted using Iggy’s crazy imagination. I’ve also used many of my own childhood stories to create funny situations for Iggy to resolve, and she does so in her own unique way, a way only Iggy can.

Many topics are covered, and each book is a standalone within the series. The first four books are in graphic novel format, in full color and considered special editions. I did artwork using specialized computer graphics. It’s been an interesting journey. We are in the process of creating new editions of the previous books written now in chapter book format and we plan to continue using this format for the remainder of the series. We will continue to offer additional graphic novel special editions featuring colorful artwork. These special editions have interactive pages and challenges for the reader and can become keepsakes. Iggy Squiggles has found a special place in my heart and hopefully will for others too.

My other series, The Tails’ Times Chronicles is a work in progress. All the books have been plotted out using storyboards and outlines, series bibles and first drafts. Right now, edits are a priority and these involve the entire series to ensure plot and character arcs develop properly, tie-ins make sense, overall series’ arc holds no plot holes that I might have missed. I’m so excited for this series and will be entering querying processes for traditional publishing hopefully by the end of summer. I’ve illustrated this series too, using a different process.

My adult fiction, Dial 911-DEAD, is completed and currently in final edits. I’ll let you all know what’s the next step in my new blog, the link: This paranormal thriller is a standalone with an engaging yet edgy feel. I love the characters in this book and can’t wait to see what others think too.

I’m currently working on the second installment of my supernatural thriller series Echoes. Echoes of Darkness is out for purchase. Echoes of Madness is next in line. I have many thoughts regarding Echoes of Darkness that I might share in the new channel currently being developed, such a readathon… we’ll see.

I not only offer an evaluation of your manuscript, if that isn’t what you’re after, I can offer a proofread, or in-depth copy edit. I will be available during the entire process for questions, concerns and brainstorming ideas through email or phone.
