GUESS HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU, 25TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION, by Sam McBratney, Illustrated by Anita Jeram, Walker Books, Candlewick Press

Beloved for a quarter of a century, the family classic receives a beautiful slipcase for this keepsake hardcover featuring a limited-edition print.

The story of Big Nutbrown Hare and Little Nutbrown Hare, who playfully vow a universe of affection, has enchanted millions of readers since its publication twenty-five years ago. Now, its enduring message of immeasurable love makes the ideal gift in a slip-cased edition that includes an endearing print of the Nutbrown Hares suitable for framing.

“Guess how much I love you,” says Little Nutbrown Hare. Little Nutbrown Hare shows his daddy how much he loves him: as wide as he can reach and as far as he can hop. But Big Nutbrown Hare, who can reach farther and hop higher, loves him back just as much. Well then Little Nutbrown Hare loves him right up to the moon, but that’s just halfway to Big Nutbrown Hare’s love for him.

I received this book in exchange for my honest review.

This is a beautiful collector’s book.  I love this story and remember it being read to my brother by my dad while I slept in the next room listening. The outpouring of love exuberating from this book will warm the frostiest of hearts. A perfect read for father/son, but should be read to every child for the message it contains–love.

The artwork is done in a watercolor medium adding soft hues to the pages to accompany a story of warm and cushy feel-goods. As the two characters jostle over who loves whom the most, you can’t help but smile at how much it reminds the reader of very similar conversation her parents have had with her when young.

You can frame the keepsake art print. The slip-cover is firm and protective of this special edition and promises to keep your copy safe for the years to come.

If you haven’t read this story to your child, then you need to get busy and become familiar with the author and his work and the work of his exceptional illustrator. A perfect team!

I love this book and give it:
