Kate DiCamillo’s sequence of novels about the Three Rancheros is now complete — and with this beautiful hardcover boxed set, readers can savor all three.

First came Raymie Nightingale, the “triumphant and necessary book”* that would become a National Book Award Finalist. Then followed the tender Louisiana’s Way Home, featuring “one of DiCamillo’s most singular and arresting creations” (The New York Times Book Review) and marking the first time the two-time Newbery Medalist had revisited the world of one of her novels. And finally, the much-hoped-for third novel, Song of Beverly, Right Here, awaits its rapt audience. Here, the entire trilogy of novels — the perfect gift for both long time fans and new devotees — is available in a beautifully designed set. Included are hardcover editions of:

Raymie Nightingale
Louisiana’s Way Home
Beverly, Right Here

MY THOUGHTS:

I received this book in exchange for my honest review.

This is a lovely gift set package offered by Candlewick Press and would make a great Christmas gift for young readers. Each of these books introduces a great character who differs with each book.  Each girl has distinguishing personality quirks, strengths, and weaknesses, not to forget, their great ability to crawl into your heart and bring smiles to your lips. They will stay with you long after you close the last book of the trio. They work hard to resolve goals using their relationships with secondary characters to push the story along at great pacing while working through plot twists and turns filled with laughter, fun and relatable moments. There’s relationship issues, friendships, great character development, and an overall heart-warming feel for this trilogy.

There’s a lovely story in each book.  Overall, I really enjoyed this trilogy and recommend it to all.

I gave it:
