Jeremy Shipp brings you The Atrocities, a haunting gothic fantasy of a young ghost’s education
When Isabella died, her parents were determined to ensure her education wouldn’t suffer.
But Isabella’s parents had not informed her new governess of Isabella’s… condition, and when Ms Valdez arrives at the estate, having forced herself through a surreal nightmare maze of twisted human-like statues, she discovers that there is no girl to tutor.
Or is there…?

I received this book in exchange for my honest review.
Wow! What a creepy book!
Loved the premise, completely drew me in!
Perfectly atmospheric for the genre, and the characters, so very haunting and poignant. Quite the concept that was written well, developed soundly and is exceptional to its genre.
I loved the characters, all of them! You felt everything they did, experienced all the emotions and wistful qualities through exquisite writing.
The author nailed Gothic horror perfectly. Although there are very disturbing things going on in the story, it’s the writing and the author’s voice that keeps you engaged in what the characters are experiencing. He sets a scene with dramatic flare that makes your skin crawl, takes you on an impossible journey to an almost realistic possibility and then hits you with bizarre concepts sending you spiraling down to the bottom of the creep-zone!
Read this book. I did in a matter of two hours and then re-read it just because. Loved it!
