MY THOUGHTS:
I received this book in exchange for my honest review.
This is book one of a new series by author Susan Anne Mason, called Canadian Crossings.
An easy read that took only two days to finish, I just love this author’s voice and style of writing. Prologues can be real tricky and often confusing if not done right, but this book’s prologue hooked me right away, leaving me anxious to discover more.
A true family drama unfolds with sisterly devotion at the forefront. Character driven plots, well-fleshed out main characters and a great premise that will hook you in until the end. Love the secrets and intrigue added and of course the romance. A clean read filled with drama that will curl your toes and leave you wondering how the story will end.
The historical elements could have been delved into more, but what the author offered was interesting and entertaining. The personalities of the characters, including secondary and extras added great definition to the main character in her reactions and dilemmas that she had to navigate through.
I’m looking forward to book two in this series. I gave this book:
