Best-selling author, Cube Kid, introduces a new series about a kitten named Eeebs who lives some incredible adventures in the world of Minecraft. Fans of Diary of an 8-Bit Warrior will find some of the emblematic characters from this series in the Nether.

Eeebs isn’t a very disciplined kitten. His mom warned him not to play in the forest, but he didn’t listen. That’s how he found himself in the Nether, a bizarre world inhabited by scary creatures. In the company of a ghast, almost cheerful witch, Eeebs develops supernatural powers.
Will this be enough to fight against Endernova’s army, the Enderman, who want to rule over the Overworld? In order to save his friends, Eeebs must become the champion of the Nether, as the prophecy of The Chosen One tells . . .

MY THOUGHTS:

I received this book in exchange for my honest review.

I’ve been a fan of Cube Kid’s series, “Diary of an 8-Bit Warrior,” for a while now, having reviewed a few of his books over the last year. Cube Kid is a pen name for Erik Gunnar Taylor, who’s a born and raised Alaskan.  As a gamer and fan fiction fanatic, it’s no wonder the Minecraft series was a work of genius that has reached global acclaimed.

Fast-paced action, and filled with colorful illustrations, “Tales of an 8-Bit Kitten” will keep readers hooked right to the very end.  I’m waiting to see either a movie or a new video game series come out of all Cube Kid’s hard work.

The illustrations are unique and different, reminding me of the Minecraft game graphics (duh!) and are fun and compliment the story vibe immensely.

This is a new series with new adventures. I recommend that you give it a try and see if this is something that appeals to you.  Note: I was not a huge graphic novel reader until this and a few other series became popular enough to grab my attention. Now, I’m hooked “Like a fish swinging in the breeze!”

Okay that was lame.

I gave the book:
